   As part of our ongoing marketing, we created and ran our television commercial, "It's A Great Day", a fun-filled music video commercial featuring our entire ERA-Justin Realty staff.  We took some time to have our Buyers and Sellers smile at us as we smile at ourselves.  The commercial takes our viewers through a typical house shopping experience from the showing to the closing.  It's all fun, smiles and song with a serious message; that being, we want to be your Realtor!

   "It's A Great Day" ran  on all of the major cable channels including CNN, ESPN, Home and Garden Television,  A & E Network, CNBC, The Discovery Channel, Nick at Night, MSNBC and The Food Channel.

  A flashback to a warm summer day in a gazebo in the park during the 1940's, costumes of the day, smiles and song and applause from area homeowners made this television commercial a big hit as we were filming.  Alternating with other ERA-Justin Realty commercials, "Summer Remembrances" is a favorite with area buyers and sellers and brings smiles to the faces of our customers and clients as well as our agents who all took part in the filming.  Children from neighboring town are always approaching our agents with a chuckle and a word or two, singing the commercial ending... "Justin Realty, ERAaaaaa."

  Even with all of the fun,  we kept our day jobs and will continue to  serve our buyers and sellers in their real estate needs for many years to come.

We created an original

  The year was 1950 and a young man with ambitions and dreams of success was about to embark on a life-long real estate journey.  Over the years he would meet and help thousands of clients, customers and friends who surrounded him throughout his career.
 
  Time passed quickly and it was 1996.  The corner of Rutherford's Union and Jackson Avenues had been surrounded with roofers, electricians, sheetrockers and carpenters, working night and day transforming an original Rutherford landmark shopping complex into a brand new shopping complex which was about to house the new state-of-the-art offices of ERA-Justin Realty.

   Cass Tokarski, with his business associate Ron Darby had acquired the location and made a major financial commitment to the total renovation and modernization of the complex.  The new home of ERA-Justin Realty was almost ready!

   To Cass and Ron, naming the complex The Justin Center had a very positive and special meaning, as the young man in 1950 with those ambitions and dreams of success was Cass' dad, Justin Tokarski, who happened to begin his Rutherford real estate career at the exact location some forty-six years earlier; a real estate office housed in the original complex.  During the renovation, keeping the bright new Justin Center sign off the premises was a top priority secret, as it was to be Cass' personal surprise for his father to have the complex carry his name.  And, an overwhelming surprise it was, when Justin arrived at the complex to see his new namesake.

   Since those early days of 1950, there have been major changes at ERA-Justin Realty; joining the ERA Real Estate franchise and  celebrating a fifteenth anniversary; receiving accolades as a top producing firm from over 2,600 ERA offices all across the USA;  continuously being the top producing firm in Rutherford sales and sold listings; acquiring The Hometown Agency,  a large neighboring real estate firm and staff;  expanding the sales staff to more than 28 sales agents; opening our offices at the brand new Justin Center.

   Upon opening the new state-of-the-art office,  Cass stated, "I'm so proud that we named the complex The Justin Center.  Justin's guidance to so many thousands of people throughout his career helped bring us to our successes today."  With a sparkle in his eyes, and a bright grin, Justin added, "I always wished and hoped that Cass would follow in my footsteps.  His ERA-Justin Realty successes are outstanding and far beyond my expectations.  I am a proud dad."

   Since completing The Justin Center, Ron and Cass and the entire staff of award winning sales agents stand ready to serve the buying and selling needs of their customers and clients.  Ron concluded, "We are always mindful of Justin, his teachings and that our company carries his name.  Nothing can be better than that."

The staff of  ERA-Justin sales-associates and brokers Ron Darby and Cass Tokarski joined together with other sponsors including many community, political, educational, historical organizations and  the local Girl Scouts and Brownie Troop, in participation in the decoration of dozens of Christmas trees and wreaths which will be given to winners through a drawing at the Kip Center, the area's senior citizen recreation and nutrition center.  The Kip Center is a focal point for hundreds of area senior citizens who participate daily in the center's recreational and lunch programs. All donations are used to help in funding the Kip Center.

   In recognition of their work throughout 1999, the Leadership Circle Awards were recently posted.  The awards are based on work including  listing and sales production as well referral of sellers to their new city, across the state or across the USA. 

   At each months end throughout the year, varied sales-associates were awarded for their activities and at year-end one sales associate was awarded as Top Producer of the Year.

   Leadership monthly  winners pictured for top monthly production from left to right include:  Glenn Elliot, Peggy Mc Laughlin, Mary Maguire, Jennifer Darby, Grace Tirrito, Cathy Vick, John Boguszewski, June Incorvaia and Ilene Harpuder.  The Leadership Circle Top Producer of the Year  Award went to Cathy Vick.  Several of those represented here were awarded for more than one month.

As part of our 50th Anniversary as a real estate leader and being rated as one of the best ERA Real Estate Offices worldwide, we created our Real Estate Investmints for pocket or purse,   We've had them made for us from an old English recipe and we invited all to either stop at our office or drop us an e-mail and we sent a tin in the mail, as a little thank you to our friends, clients, customers and neighbors who we've had over the years and for our new friends also. Sorry, our supply is gone now, but the memory lingers!

   A brief moment for some humor for Ron Darby and two ERA-Justin Realty sales agents Glenn Elliot and Jennifer Darby who represented the firm at the ERA Regional Business Conference attended by ERA firms blanketing the east coast.  After the opening get together it was real estate business, idea sharing, roundtable discussions as agents, managers and broker-owners joined together to discuss innovative plans for 2001 in serving the needs of ERA sellers and buyers.
